The Elsmere Fire District dedicated a memorial to all Firefighters and EMS personnel in October 2007.


Industrial Machine Fire                                                                   
On July 31st, crews responded for a reported fire in a large machine. Upon arrival crews found heavy smoke conditions inside warehouse. Upon investigation crew found fire to be out and checked for extension and overhauled fire area.

Public Education                                                                        During the months of April and May the Elsmere Fire District has been busy providing annual public education classes to the 3rd,7th,and 8th grade children at St. Henry School. More


Auto Accident                                                                                     On March 31st, EMS and Fire Crews responded to a report of an auto accident at Commanche and Seneca Trail. When crews arrived, they located a passenger vehicle partially under a tractor trailer. All occupants were out of the vehicles and there were no injuries. More


Industrial Machine Fire                                                                On May 11th, crews responded for a report of a structure fire in an industrial business. Upon arrival, crews found a fire in a piece of machinery. The fire was extinguished and heavy smoke was evacuated from the building. Crews from the Elsmere Fire District, Erlanger and Point Pleasant Fire Departments were on the scene for several hours.


Burn Ban                                                                                            Due to air quality, a burn ban will be in effect starting May 1st. No opening burning will be permitted until the ban is lifted.  http://www.lrc.ky.gov/kar/401/063/005.htm


Brownie Troop Fire Safety Training                                         On April 1, 2008 Brownie Troop 417 visited the fire station and completed a Fire Safety Class with Firefighters Castellano and Huth. The troop is working towards earning their "Safety Sense" Try-It Badge. As a thank you, the girls brought the firefighters a delicious plate of brownies. More


Vehicle Fire                                                                                         3711 Autumn Road                                                                          On April 2, 2008 at 9:15am, crews responded to the lot of Sunoco for a report of a vehicle fire. When units arrived on the scene, the vehicle’s engine compartment was fully involved in flames. Crews quickly extinguished the flames and conducted an investigation. The fire was determined to be caused by mechanical failure. More


Vehicle Fire                                                                                         Eagle Drive                                                                                       In the early morning of March 26, 2008 crews responded for a report of a vehicle fire on Eagle Drive. When units arrived at the scene, the full size vehicle’s engine compartment was heavily involved in flames. The vehicle was parked close to a second vehicle and in close proximity to a mobile home. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and conducted an investigation to determine the origin of the fire which was found to be mechanical in nature. More


Structure Fire                                                           On  February 7, at 1:38am EFPD crews were dispatched for a structure fire at 463 Fox St.. On arrival crews found a two family, two story apartment building with heavy fire showing from Apt #1 first floor. Heavy fire was blowing from both front windows and front entrance door, advancing into the second floor windows and roof soffit areas.
The fire was controlled by E-401 crew with one - 1" 3/4 and one 2" attack line without incident.
